Location: Off Mt Pleasant Road in Chesapeake close to Virginia Beach and conveniently located off Chesapeake Expressway.

Cinder block 8 stall barn that is warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Barn has a concrete aisle with cross ties.

Individual, private and locked tack closet available

Tack room has microwave and refrigerator available for use

Hot and cold water

Stalls are pressure washed yearly

We offer 12x12 stalls with mats, wood shavings, heated buckets, free choice mineral salt and individual fans.

Horses are feed with hay nets in the stalls to extending grazing time and reduce waste.

They are also fed high quality grain in their stalls twice daily so there is no competition as with field feeding and to insure that any medication or supplements are only eaten by your partner

Horses are led individually to and from turnout pastures

Outside hay is in a covered feeder. Horses are turned out during the day during the winter months or during the overnight during the summer months.

We take great care in our pastures. Pastures are rotated, sprayed for weeds, fertilized, aerated and harrowed as necessary.

Pastures are enclosed with 3 wood boards and top hot wire

The arena is crushed bluestone base with sand on top. It is regularly worked with an arena rake to provide comfortable footing to work your partner. Approximate size is 200x100. Jumps, barrels, ground poles and cones are available for use.

We use also use fly eliminators during the warm months.

Horse are dewormed according to barn veterinarian schedule

We are a short haul to NWR Park that has a riding ring and trails. We can provide you with contact information for local trail riding groups. We are also a short distance to several show facilities that host weekend horse shows.

No additional fees for giving supplements, blanketing or masks that are provided by owner.

We have working relationships with local veterinarians, farriers, equine massage therapists, equine chiropractors and other equine professionals. Family (children) and natural horsemanship friendly.

If you choose to use the same veterinarian as the barn, there is a farm call discount if your horse has semi-annual checkups at the same time.

Horse must be herd friendly, no vices (bad habits) of chewing on wood, etc.

Barn manager has a degree in Animal Science and Equine Science, Master Equine Manager Certification, and Technical Large Animal Rescue training.

Full board only. No co-op or pasture board situations available. Due to liability issues and insurance we are unable to exchange board for work.
